Mayor's Commentary - Warning for the Third Wave (as of Nov. 13)
Today, Friday, November 13, the 8th Kasama citizen, a man in his 40s, was confirmed to test positive for coronavirus.
Although this is the first case of infection in our city since September 1, the third coronavirus surge has arrived.
Following the Ibaraki Prefecture Coronavirus Countermeasures Guidelines Ver. 2, based on the number of positive cases per day, positive cases percentage, and infection status in Tokyo, the prefecture has entered "Stage 3". The prefectural government urges to pay special attention to protective measures amid severe concerns about the coronavirus spread.
We ask you to wear a mask, wash your hands thoroughly, ventilate rooms regularly, avoid 'The 3 Cs', check your temperature daily, and follow other preventive measures against the coronavirus.
The best way to prevent the spread of infectious diseases is to take what we can do. Therefore, if you feel even slightly feverish or sluggish, or your physical condition seems different from usual, please take it seriously, take a rest, and consult a medical institution as soon as possible.
