Mayor's Commentary - COVID-19 Vaccinations (2021/5/17)

COVID-19 vaccinations for people aged 65 and above living in Kasama are set to start on May 23.

Kasama City established a COVID-19 Vaccination Project Team in February. In order to start vaccinations as early as possible, first appointments for public vaccinations were available online and by phone through the Kasama City Vaccine Call Center on May 10.

However, the lines and servers have been extremely busy, and we realize it has been difficult to make an appointment. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Under such circumstances, the City Hall has been receiving numerous inquiries regarding reservations and vaccinations.

I understand that wanting to get vaccinated as soon as possible but not being able to make an appointment may have many people feeling stressed. However, lengthy inquiries and repeated questions end up hindering the operations of the City. Therefore, I kindly ask all residents for their patience and to remain calm.

The City is currently stepping up its vaccination process, with the aim of completing the vaccination of all people aged 65 and above by the end of July, as required by the government.
Currently, the number of people who can make an appointment is limited. However, the supply will stabilize, and vaccines will be available for everyone.

Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.
