"Ibaraki's Amabie-chan" (Ibaraki Prefecture)
The 'Amabie-chan' will send email notifications to those who have potentially come in contact with infected people
Users who have visited a facility on the same day as an infected person will be notified about the confirmed case via email.
Businesses are urged to register with the system and hang up an Infection Prevention Pledge (Description & QR code) poster.
Citizens are asked to 'check-in' at each store or facility that they visit.

Comprehensive Disaster Management Enhancement Project
Infection preventive measures at the six major evacuation centers in Kasama:
Kasama City will deploy necessary supplies to avoid close-contact settings and crowded conditions and isolate people suspected of being infected.
Currently budgeting: Private indoor tents and partitions, portable flushing toilets, personal protective equipment (for evacuation center personnel), aluminum foil mats, non-contact thermometers, and other essential items
Improving Infection Preventive Measures for Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services
Kasama City aims to prevent the spread of infections through purchasing protective products and environmental maintenance.
Currently budgeting: Surgical masks, Tyvek coverall suits and other personal protective items, web cameras and microphones for video conferencing, equipment for transporting COVID-19 patients
Support measures against heatstroke for Kasama City school children (distribution of cooling towels)
Qualifiers: All elementary and junior high school students in Kasama City
※ Run it under cold water, wring it out, and twirl it a few times to make it cool.
Depending on the school conditions, large fans, spot coolers, mist showers, and other necessary equipment will be installed.

"Premium" Shopping Voucher Program
To revitalize the City's economic activities, Kasama City will offer special "30% Premium" shopping vouchers to those who purchase ¥10,000 worth of vouchers.
Value: 30% (Get 13 vouchers for the price of 10, a ¥3,000 value!)
Issued amount: 50,000 sets for ¥10,000
Sales launch: early October

Newborns Gift Certificate Program
Gift certificates will be distributed to children born after April 27 (the same date for the Special Cash Payments eligibility) or to those who are currently pregnant and expect to give birth within the current fiscal year.
Amount: One ¥50,000 certificate per qualified person

Rental Assistance Subsidy Program
This program provides rent subsidies to legal entities and sole traders whose sales have decreased by 20% to 50% compared to the same month last year due to coronavirus, and who are, however, not eligible for the government's rent support benefits. (Ibaraki Prefecture Joint Project)
Qualifiers: Legal entities and sole traders who rent land and/or buildings in Kasama City.
Subsidy amount: 2/3 of 3 months rent (rounded down to the nearest ¥1,000)
Maximum amount: Legal entities up to ¥600,000, sole traders up to ¥300,000

Local Businesses Support Program
Kasama City provides rental infrared thermometers for festivals and other events to support local businesses that follow coronavirus prevention guidelines.

Accommodation Providers Support Program
This financial aid supports the business continuity of accommodation providers in Kasama City.
Qualifiers: Members of Kasama Tourism Association, Kasama Ryokan Association, and vacation rental businesses

Event Support Program to Help Increase Attendees
This program provides financial assistance to shopping streets and various organizations that hold events to help attract more visitors through unique features of the region.
Qualifiers: Events promoting the region's unique characteristics
Subsidy amount: 100% of event expenses, excluding personnel costs
Maximum amount: ¥200,000

Temporary Special Benefit for Single-parent Households (National Program)
This benefit is provided to single-parent households responsible for both work and raising children, and whose income has decreased and/or whose child care expenses have increased due to coronavirus.
Basic Benefit: ¥50,000 per household receiving child-rearing allowance (¥30,000 per child after the second child)
Additional Benefit: child-rearing allowance recipients who have reported their income to have decreased significantly and their household finances have been affected severely due to coronavirus.

Regional Transportation Assistance Program
In response to the voluntary "Stay at Home" policy, this program provides a subsidy to transportation businesses in the City facing financial difficulties.
Eligible Businesses: bus operators, taxi operators, and "daiko" designated driver services

Support for Citizens
We will distribute a "KASAMA BOX" filled with local agricultural products and processed foods from Kasama City to those whose lives have been affected by the coronavirus.
Qualifiers: households that have been experiencing financial hardship due to a business shutdown or other related issues, and have applied for an emergency microloan with the Kasama City Council of Social Welfare or any other similar organization.

Sanitizer Liquid Distribution
The disinfectant liquid will be distributed in person one time at the amount of 2 liters per city resident. Please bring a clean plastic bottle with you.
