Sanitizer Liquid Distribution (hypochlorous acid water)
The disinfectant liquid will be distributed in person at the amount of 1 liter per city resident. Please bring a clean plastic bottle with you.

NATIONAL GOVERNMENT INITIATIVES
Temporary Special Benefits for Child Rearing Households
A temporary special benefit of ¥10,000 per qualifying child will be paid to households currently receiving a child allowance.
As a general rule, an application is not required. (For civil servants, an application is required.)
Eligibility:
Children who were eligible for the April 2020 monthly child allowance (Including the March 2020 monthly allowance) qualify for the temporary special benefit.
※Children born before March 31. New first-grade high school students also qualify.
Amount: ¥10,000 per qualifying child
※The benefit will be sent out in June 2020.

Distribution of Masks to Expectant Mothers
Eligibility:
(1) Women who have already registered their pregnancy with their local government
(2) Women who have just learned about their pregnancy ※Pregnancy registration with the local government is necessary
Amount: 2 masks per month
※Cloth masks will be distributed by the city upon receiving them from the government.

Support for Students
For students needing a little extra help during these hard times, Kasama City will be sending out "Kasama Boxes" filled with local produce and other goods as a show of support.
※Limited to one per person.
Who can apply: (both of the following requirements must be met)
(1) Students who reside, or whose parents reside, in Kasama City
(2) Students born before April 1, 2002, who are currently enrolled at a university, junior college, graduate school, or vocational school.
KASAMA BOX Contents (tentative): Agricultural products (rice, etc.) and processed foods produced in Kasama City, sanitizer liquid.
How to apply: Please send the application form to the Agricultural Administration Division by e-mail or fax.

Loans for Small and Medium Enterprises and Self-Employed Individuals (a joint project between prefectural and local governments)
Loans will be provided to small and medium enterprises as well as self-employed individuals concerned about going out of business or going bankrupt due to a sharp drop in sales and need funds to continue their business for the time being.
Who can apply: Small and medium enterprises that own an office in Ibaraki Prefecture and have been in operation for at least one year.
Loan amount: Up to¥ 2,000,000
Loan period: 10 years (5-years grace period) ※A one-time extension may be permitted.
Load requirements: Zero-interest, unsecured

Community Medical Support
Kasama City aims to improve in-home health care services by purchasing medical equipment (portable ultrasound scanner and portable electrocardiogram monitor [tentative]) for collective use by city medical institutions.

Reserve Firefighter Service (Installation of ozone generators for sterilization and disinfection)
Three ozone generators effective in sterilizing and disinfecting ambulances and other vehicles used to transport patients with suspected COVID-19, etc., will be installed.

Kasama-yaki Ceramics Online Sales Project
An online retail service for Kasama-yaki pottery will be created to promote sales amid a decrease in consumption. (Implemented by The Cooperative of Kasamayaki)
